The Red-shouldered Hawk took flight with its prize catch and landed on a cypress tree nearby. Shortly after, a couple of American Crows came. They were trying to find their footing around the hawk and all of a sudden, one of them charged towards it!
Were they attempting an ambush on the hawk?
The following day, the Red-shouldered Hawk appeared again, and on the same cypress tree. A murder of crows came from all directions, swooping down on the hawk!
I researched about crows attacking hawks, and wondered if the latter had crossed the line. Was the prize catch the day before one of the crows? Did it pick a baby from the crows’ nest?
