Getting “screwed” at the dentist’s

After bidding farewell to my Tooth #19, and patiently waiting for my gums to heal, I finally got on with Part 2 – getting my tooth implant in place.

Nurse: “How are you feeling?”
Me: “Erm… nervous?”
Nurse: “Don’t worry, you got your tooth removed with local anesthesia! This is going to be a breeze!”

True enough, fifteen minutes and three X-rays later, I was SCREWED 😝

Doctor Y reassured me that things would only get better each time I see him. It is true, especially when I got my tooth removed the day San Francisco declared shelter-in-place. Somehow, he has become the person I saw the most in this time of pandemic. I feel grateful looking back at how far we’ve come. Almost done!
