Glycerin bath experiment

Somewhere in December, I picked out some fallen leaves on our walks. I want to bring them back to Singapore for the family leaf book that my father has. I showed him the leaves over a video call and he sighed “If only the colours could stay this way…”

Before I found a way to preserve the colours of the leaves, I flattened them the old fashion way with thick heavy books.

It’s been a month and I think the leaves are flat enough. I read that soaking the leaves in glycerin helps so I am going to experiment with it. This is my first time getting in contact with glycerin – it has no smell and quite viscous.

Note to self: Mix one part glycerin + two parts water. Spread the leaves out and make sure they are fully submerged in the mixture.

Hope this will do the magic! *fingers crossed*
Excited!
