Since our return, two of our kales have been blooming with yellow flowers – we learnt that they have probably arrived at the end of their cycles. As much as we want to watch this flowering process, we noticed how the rest of our kales have shrunk and turned purple.

We moved the flowering ones over to our experimental pot and while doing so, cut off much of their intertwined roots. Today, four days later, the rest of the kale grew into lovely green bunches! Yay!

On hindsight, we should not have grown them so close together in the beginning. Looking forward to another harvest?
