The party will go on…

After making sure that the plants have water for weeks, I started wondering about the rooftop party. How can I provide them with food for weeks?

Mr Quaker Oats was empty and seemed like a responsible choice – I cut a hole near the bottom and filled him up with millets.

Ideally, millets should pile up outside the hole. When the pile is eaten up by birds, millets would naturally flow out from within.

I know my birds pretty well by now. The Dark-eyed Juncos are usually more adventurous and willing to play with my experiments. When one gets to the food, it is quite certain that the rest of its family would too.

Tadah! The White-crowned Sparrow juvenile is here too! I think this is going to work.

fingers crossed
