The Cooper Hawk spots a party

Our neighbour’s antenna is the “waiting area” to our rooftop party. It is about ten feet away. Before we started this project, there would only be one bird singing a melodious song. These days, it could accommodate four to six sparrow-sized birds, totally absorbed in their chatter.

I read that most hawks have incredible vision eight times more acute than humans with good eyesight. This particular Cooper Hawk must have spotted an overcrowded antenna from a mile away in the woods!

I never thought I would see a hawk swoop down right in front of me.

The antenna looks cramp yet, for a long while, it adjusted quite well. I will never… never… forget that pair of bloodshot eyes.
